This issue is dedicated to the geoinformation systems for roads. BIM section starts with an article on the analysis of the role and place of GIS in the context of information modeling. GIS section presents an overview article describing all the stages of creating a GIS for roads — from customer data collecting to implementing the system at the customer's site. Another article of the section examines the applicability of UAV for geodetic control over roads construction and maintenance. CAD section contains an extensive review of laser scanning data processing systems. Two other articles of the section are devoted to the development of traffic management projects. One of them is dedicated to the design of repair period traffic plans in the framework of road modeling systems; another article provides an overview of the functionality of the traffic management design system IndorTrafficPlan. Society section is presented with a fascinating article about history of the high-speed road construction inception and development.
